Facial Dynamics Brings Next-Gen Neurorehab To MiNT UK 2025

We’ll be showcasing our neuro rehabilitation platform, Facial Dynamics, at MiNT UK 2025, the UK’s leading event for motor impairment and neuro technology. The event will take place on the 16th October 2025 at CentrEd, ExCeL London, where we will be joining fellow innovators.

Facial Dynamics is a new digital therapy tool designed to transform the recovery journey for people living with facial palsy, stroke-related facial weakness and tremor-induced facial movement disorders. Built with therapists, clinicians and patients in mind, the platform delivers immersive therapy through augmented reality, real-time movement tracking and clinician-assigned exercises, all from a normal tablet or smartphone.

“We’re not just helping people do therapy, we’re helping them feel safe doing it.”

James Coleman, Co-founder, Life Analytics

Why facial rehab needs to change

Facial palsy is a life-altering condition. For many, the emotional toll of facial asymmetry is as debilitating as the physical limitations. Yet, across much of the UK, patients face long waiting lists, regional service gaps or no access to facial rehab at all.

Facial Dynamics offers a path forward, one that’s personalised, empowering and evidence-based:

  • Mirrorless therapy using AR – A neutral facial avatar masks asymmetry during exercises, reducing self-consciousness and improving focus.
  • Tailored rehabilitation plans – Clinicians assign routines based on individual goals, diagnosis and recovery stage.
  • Live feedback and progress tracking – The app monitors 52 facial data points, giving patients visual insights into their recovery and helping clinicians adjust therapy as needed.
  • Motivational milestones – Progress is visualised through charts and milestones, turning small wins into sustained engagement.
  • Home-based access – No specialist equipment required, only a normal smartphone or tablet.

Already in use by leading NHS teams, including those at Queen Victoria Hospital and Staffordshire ESD, Facial Dynamics has been developed in alignment with DTAC standards, MHRA readiness and the NHS ISDN stroke rehab strategy.
